We realize the quality of our programs depends on the quality of our instructors. For this reason, our instructors are chosen based on their qualifications, communication skills, patience, and love for children. Our structured training program ensures that each student receives the finest hands-on instruction available. Regardless of their age or skill level, students will discover that continuous interaction with our warm and caring instructors develops trust and stability both in and out of the water. Bianca is currently studying Kinesiology at California State University of Los Angeles. She learned to swim at a young age and began competing in high school. Her favorite strokes are Freestyle and Backstroke, and her favorite event is the 100 yard Individual Medley. Bianca gained experience working with children ages 5 to 9 as an assistant baseball coach. In addition, she worked with 8th graders as an after-school football coach. Her favorite part about teaching swim lessons is interacting with her students in the water and seeing her students progress. A few of Bianca’s hobbies include dancing, swimming, playing football, and reading.

Brianna received Babysitting and Childcare training through the Red Cross, which provided her with experience when working with children as a babysitter. Her favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is teaching her students an important life skill and watching them have fun while learning! A fun fact about Brianna is that she loves whitewater rafting, kayaking, and especially her dogs!

Cecilia has been swimming since she was in elementary school, and swam competitively on her local club swim team. Freestyle is her favorite stroke. She gained experience working with children of all ages as a babysitter and a youth mentor at her church. She has a passion for teaching swimming lessons because she loves watching her students learn new things and accomplish their goals. Cecilia is currently studying Computer Science at Cal State San Bernardino. When Cecilia is not in the pool, she enjoys reading and playing video games!

Cameron gained childcare experience while working as an instructional aid and has earned the position of lead trainer at Waterworks Aquatics through his hard work and dedication since starting at our Sierra Madre location. He enjoys teaching swimming lessons because he likes to see the enjoyment on his students’ faces when learning how to swim.

She swam competitively all four years of high school and her favorite event was the 200 IM. Linda grew up in a large family and has extensive experience babysitting for her relatives. She also has volunteered at child development centers where she created fun workshops and art activities for her students, who ranged in age from 4-7 years old. Linda’s enjoys being a swim instructor because she loves helping her students learn new skills and seeing the excitement on their faces when they have achieved their goals!

She is passionate about teaching swimming lessons because it combines her two favorite things – swimming and working with children. Marjorie is currently studying Nursing at Pasadena City College. A fun fact about Marjorie is that she loves to travel and has backpacked around Europe three times.

John gained experience working with children as a behavioral interventionist for children with autism and through teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages for the past four years. His favorite thing about teaching swimming lessons is seeing the pride and accomplishment on his students’ faces as they master a new life skill. He is currently majoring in Marine Biology at San Diego State University. An interesting fact about John is that he loves nature and actively tries to protect the planet in any way that he can.

He is currently attending Mira Costa College with a focus on History.
